Kristy Speirs LLM (Prosecutions) M.Commerce (Management) is the founder and principal of Speirs Law and has close to two decades of criminal law and advocacy experience. She is a very experienced criminal law advocate with a long background as a prosecutor.
Kristy has extensive experience as a police officer, police prosecutor and criminal prosecutor with the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Kristy has had experience in legal drafting, was legal advisor to the Deputy Commissioner of Police in internal affairs as well as a professional assistant to the Director, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Kristy has conducted hundreds of summary hearings, has run jury trials as well as instructed senior counsel in protracted murder trials in the Supreme Court. Kristy has extensive advocacy experience in the local court, District Court, Supreme Court. Kristy has further experience in assisting the Coroner at inquests and has appeared in the Administrative Decisions Tribunal.
Kristy knows how the criminal justice system and is here to guide you through the process. Kristy is well aware of police policies and here to share and assist you in the preparation of your case. She has worked as an editor for the Lexis Nexis Local Court Practice
